Top of the week, fellow vibrators of the low frequencies.

It's hard to believe, but we've been going at it for a full six months now! Way to go! Well, for the "Half-Year" anniversary of "Groove of the Week" I have someone very special lined up for you. This week's groove is in the style of Joe Osborn!

Joe is one of the cats whose bass lines you have heard, but you're not likely to recall his name. He played bass on some of the biggest hits in the '60s and '70s, including for groups like "The Monkees" and "The Mama's and the Papas", and countless more! Check out his website (you can get it through my own site: www.sourkrautmusic.com) and take a look at his collection of hits. I love the guy! Listen closely to his recording of the Fifth Dimension "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine" and you'll hear some very fine bass playing.

Without further delay, let me introduce to you a groove in the style of Joe Osborn.

Loop: 4 times

Groove Skeleton: 1-2 (Quarter note)

Good luck, and enjoy! If you have the chance, pick out some of the recordings that he played on. He's a master of the well-placed note!

Peace, Patrick

P.S.: If you want to hear the TAB version below, set you Tempo setting to 120.
