One String Scale, Using Intervals Of 3

by Paul Rainey (889)

Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 Suggested Tempo: 120

Welcome cats. Here in this lesson, I've presented scales that go in invtervals of three. To break it down, you play the first three notes of the scale 4 times in a row, then procede with the next note in the scale as the starting point, and then play it along with the next 2 notes of the scale four times, ect. ect. We're in the key of Bb major here so your notes are: Bb, C, D, Eb, F, G, A, Bb. This may sound hard at first when you play the example, but start out slow. It is actually very simple. Remember, play the first three notes, ascending 4 times (Bb, C, D), then go to the next note in the scale, above your last root tone, (C) and play it along with the next two notes ascending, (C, D, Eb). I believe this is phrased in triplet, but don't quote me on that. (Who do I look like.......ED?)
