Bass Groove Of The Week #16

by Patrick Pfeiffer (10700)

Pages: 1 Suggested Tempo: 120

Top of the week, fellow bass-ment dwellers!

It's time to complete the "Groove in the Style of Jaco." We'll now put the first measure (Groove #14) and the second measure (Groove #15) together, and we'll get a very cool line. If this is giving you trouble, check in my lesson folder for the previous grooves, it'll include the TAB, which will help a bit. Slow this down!!!! Most of all, enjoy it! Here it goes:

Settings:

Tempo: 240
(once again we're fooling the AB system into 16th notes! The actual playing tempo is 120)

Sound: Elec Fing

Click: Start

Loop: 4 times

Groove Skeleton: 1-+

Tonality: Dominant (Mixolydian Mode)

Style: Jazz/Rock Fusion

This groove is really worthwhile having! It's fun to play, it grooves, and a lot of people will wonder how the heck you do this! Enjoy!

Peace,

Patrick

P.S.: If you're playing the TAB version, adjust your tempo to 120.
