Ok, its kind hard for me to teach you trough a page using the double thumb technic, so im gonna use some pictures to help(i hope it does). Ok, the double thumb consist in you hit the desire string and "rest" your thumb in the string above, then come up with the thumb also hiting the same desired string, got it? Lets go to the pictures:


The first picture, shows my hand going to hit the E string.

The second picture, shows my hand "resting" in the A string. So, i hit the E string, and rest on the A string. Just pay attention that my arm doesnt move, its my wrist that do the movement, thats very important, okey? If u check some wootens videos, sometimes he moves with the arm, but usually he uses the wrist.

The third picture shows a upper view of my hand "resting" in the A string.

So, practice time. Here it goes a basic E major scale, im doing it with my thumb, using the double thumb okey? The tempo is set to 150, wich is not hard, but if you have problems, lower the tempo and start again, then when you r feeling that u got it, higher the tempo, right? Dont worry about speed in the beginning, just get the precision of the double thumb.

And remember, you have to maintain your thumb strong, look at the pictures, he cant be soft, it has to be hard, okey?
