Hello Cats. I've always been into music that swings so I thought I would attempt to make a lesson about improvising over Rock n' Roll patterns. What is presented here is mostly 3 chord patterns. I'll try to make sense of what I'm displaying to you. The best way to get better with these runs and riffs is to play with a record or other muscians. I've always thought you learned more on bass by playing in a situation with music, rather than just sitting by yourself. (since bass is mostly a rythm instrument, but it' great when it takes a lead) This lesson would be much easier if you had a grasp on Blue Notes, if not, I have a lesson in the Bassics section dealing with Blue Notes. We'll start with a country beat, since it will be covering the basics of what we're talking about, and besides, there isn't very much country in the lessons here at AB.
