Hi there! Here are some exercises that really helped me to be a much better bass player and I still use them to practice every day. For starters here is the mother of all scales, the MAJOR scale. Here I have the scale played in six different positions. G on the third fret of the E string, A on the fifth fret on E string, B on the seventh fret of the E string, C on the third fret of the A string, D on the fifth fret of the A string and finally E on the seventh fret of the A string. The fingering is quite obvious I think.
