This is a small two hand tapping solo I wrote after going through Alfonso Celis's lesson "Classical Tapping". I'm planning on playing this at a local coffee shop's open mic night, in the middle of Cliff Burton's Anesthesia (right before the drums enter in the recording).
The solo structure is very straight-forward, with repeating 8 bar sections. These are the first two sections, meant to be played in this order and looped once.
All of the notes in the E and G strings are hammered with the left hand. I prefer my middle finger over my index for this; my middle finger feels stronger. The notes on the A string are played with the right hand index, and the notes on the D string are played with the right hand middle finger.
When practicing this type of line, it is important to start slow, focusing on clean and even notes. It is pointless to learn to run down this line sloppily, since it won't sound good, and it will form bad habits in your playing which will be hard to fix later.
