The Radial Bassbone is a power-packed bass preamp that combines real-world functionality with amazing tonal control, making it the ideal front end for live performance and studio recording. Designed as a bass command center, the Bassbone features two separate channels with independent level controls and powerful EQ to let you perform with two basses on stage and instantly select between them with a footswitch. With Bassbone in your rig, each bass is treated separately - no more compromising! . On-demand access to the combination effects loop and power booster lets you introduce effects and gives you that extra kick when needed. The Bassbone is also equipped with a built-in Radial direct box that sends 'your sound' to the mixer the way you want it. There's even a separately buffered tuner out that lets you monitor and tune on the fly. Features & Specifications Many bassists today use two instruments, typically with very different levels and sounds eg: a traditional Fender® style passive and a 5 string active. We designed the Bassbone to allow switching instruments without having to re-adjust tone and volume at the amp. This is done with two channels and an EQ with enough power and versatility to override the bass amp’s tone settings! The Bassbone can also be used with one bass – with a different tonal setting for each channel, you can sound like two distinct instruments simply by switching channels. Also included is a power-booster with variable gain and a switchable outboard effect loop which can be used individually or together. For example: introduce a flanger with boost for soloing. A balanced output sends the signal to a mixer with all your sound settings (level, EQ, effect loop), eliminating the need to carry a bass amplifier to coffee house gigs. There's even a bass-friendly tuner out! Using the Bassbone The Bassbone is extremely powerful, yet simple to operate. There are two instrument inputs and two separate signal channels with separate level and EQ sections for each. Output can go to an amp, mixer or both. Effects and boost can be brought in or out with the press of a footswitch. The Bassbone is not limited to bass either. It works great with guitars, mandolins, dobros, banjos and other acoustic and electric instruments in addition to bass instruments. Hookup is straightforward whether you are using one bass or two. When using only one instrument, connecting to input-1 will still allow the use of all of channel-2's benefits and features with one press of the 'toggle' footswitch. The Radial Bassbone comes equipped with a special 15-Volt power supply that provides greater headroom than typical 9V supplies. Connecting the power supply automatically turns the Bassbone on.
