A feature-loaded preamp/D.I, this unit utilizes a four-band equalizer, modeled after the versatile Fishman Prefix Plus onboard preamp. Each band of the Pro-EQ Platinum's EQ section is assigned to just the right frequencies for acoustic equalization. Also borrowed from the Prefix Plus design are feedback fighting phase and notch controls. An innovation for the Pro-EQ Platinum is Fishman's "Smooth" acoustic compression circuit. It subdues the explosive high frequencies when you strum hard or snap the strings. Additionally, the Pro-EQ Platinum has a balanced XLR output. This output will allow you to power the Platinum via phantom power and the ground lift feature will function even with the phantom power applied.

Suitable for all acoustic instruments, including guitar, banjo and mandolin as well as stringed instruments.
