My blues bassline in F. A nice walking bassline over blues chord changes, being, in roman numeral analysis:
| I7 | IV7 | I7 |(Vm7) I7 |
| IV7 | IV7 (IVo7)| I7 | VI7 |
| IIm7 | V7 | I7 | IIm7 V7 |
(The lines obviously represent barlines, and the chords in parentheses are optional)
Also take notice of the "blue notes", the notes outside of the blues scale which actually make this a "blues" progression. The flattened 3, 5, and 7 are especially important.. so any Ab, Bnatural, or Eb. You can find those in:
Bar1 Beat4
Bar2 Beat3
Bar3 Beat4
Bar4 Beat4
Bar5 Beat3&4
Bar6 Beat3
Bar8 Beat4
Bar10 Beat4
ALSO, remember to ignore the last bar, which I just threw in for kicks as an ending, if you plan to loop the chord progression.. Take care and enjoy! -Nick
