Begin by assigning one finger per fret on the B string (or E, this also works for a 4-string). Play the 1st finger/note,then the 2nd, then, 3rd then 4th. Drop down a string and repeat. When you get to the G string work your way back the the B. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Then move up one fret and repeat. Continue until you've reached the 7th fret, then work your way back down.
