Ed Friedland is a contributing editor and monthly columnist for Bass Player
Magazine. He has written 6 well recieved instructional books; Building
Walking Bass Lines, Expanding Walking Bass Lines, Jazz Bass, Bass
Improvisation, Reggae Bass and his newest title - The Working Bassist's
Toolkit. He has taught at Berklee College of Music, Boston College and
Arizona State University as well as privately since 1979.
Ed has performed in a wide variety of styles on upright and electric bass
